Do you have a proactive mindset, an endless curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement in detection and response? Does the idea of defending a one-of-a-kind network that supports over 250,000 devices and critical citizen-focused services excite you?

The State of North Dakota is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Cyber Analysis and Response team to assist with the development of one of the world’s most advanced Cyber Operations Centers. As a part of the State of ND’s Information Security Division, you will work on a team that provides continuous monitoring, incident response, digital forensics, malware analysis, and threat hunting services to the State of North Dakota and its customers.

As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will:

- Be responsible for the detection, triage, and investigation of security events.
- Serve as an incident handler to identify, investigate, mitigate, and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents impacting the network or endpoints.
- Document evidence collected, actions taken during the incident response process, and write incident reports for management, incident stakeholders, and to facilitate lessons learned.
- Participate in tabletops, cyber ranges, and team exercises to improve your skills, develop a cooperative mindset, and enhance information sharing within the team.

In this role, you will promote the continuous improvement of the capabilities of the Cyber Operations Center and advance the security posture of the State of North Dakota. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as you will work as part of a highly collaborative team. You should be comfortable working in an environment with a continuous workload, and competing priorities.

- Five (5) years of current and progressive work experience within a cybersecurity role or an information technology role including security responsibilities.
- SANS and CompTIA certifications may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
