What will you be doing?
As PRA’s Cyber Security Engineer you will be a part of the PRA Data Privacy and Cyber Security team responsible for data privacy, cyber security engineering and operations. You will be responsible for improving PRA’s Security prevention and detection systems.
Other Duties are:
Maintain and configure Security Platforms, including constant optimizations of the configuration and detection capabilities.
Work on Cyber Security Projects to specify and deliver new controls.
Work with IT System and Network Engineers to support with your Cyber Security expertise for new Projects and existing solutions.
Cooperate with our Cyber Security Analysts to ensure detection capabilities fit the needs and identify gaps.
Support remediation efforts during Incident Response
Participate in Cyber Security exercises such as Tabletops and Capture the Flags in order to improve detection and response capabilities
Serve as security subject-matter expert for IT Teams, Business Units and other Security Professionals
You might be required to share on-call duties and perform work on weekends and overnight, to respond to high priority security incidents.
Location: Raleigh office preferred, partially remote possible.
What do you need to have?
All relevant experience will be reviewed, positions are open across multiple experience levels.
8+ years’ experience in Cyber Security
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or Information Technology
Security Engineering Certifications e.g. GDSA, GCDA, GCIA, GMON, GCWN, GCUX, CCNA/CCNP Security, MCSE, LPIC
Security Engineering Training and/or Experience for one or more of the following: AWS, Firepower, Active Directory, IronPort (CES), zScaler, Cisco AMP
Experience with Threat Intelligence
Experience with Python, PowerShell or other scripting language
1 years of relevant experience
Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered in place of the education and experience stated above.
Security Training or experience with in one or more of the following: SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Endpoints Protection Platforms & Endpoint Protection and Response Platform, Network Security, Cloud Security
Advanced Knowledge in network & server infrastructure security
Advanced problem-solving ability
Advanced communication (verbal and written) skills in English
